Batch transparency

Don't take our word for it.

Every batch is screened by an independent lab for heavy metals and microbials before it leaves the facility. The LOT number on the base of your bottle pulls up the certificate for that exact run — not a generic one from two years ago.

Printed on the base of the bottle and on the end flap of the carton. Try to see how it works.

What we test for

Four screens, every batch.

Heavy metals

Lead, arsenic, cadmium and mercury. Herbs concentrate whatever is in the soil they grew in, which is exactly why this screen is not optional in this category.

Microbial load

Total plate count, yeast and mould, E. coli and Salmonella. Dried botanicals are an agricultural product before they are a supplement.

Active assay

Confirmation that the silymarin, the withanolides and the berberine are present at the percentage the label claims. This is the test that proves the dose is real.

Identity

Confirmation that the botanical in the capsule is the species on the label. Adulteration with cheaper look-alike material is the oldest trick in the herbal trade.
